Definition
EESAC
stands for the Educational Excellence School Advisory
Council.
Purpose
This
council exists through Florida law and they are charged
with assisting school principals with the development of
the school improvement plan as well as the schools’
budget. The EESAC is the sole body responsible for final
decision making relating to school improvement and
accountability.
Membership requirements
Members
must be a part of the group they are representing,
therefore the student representative must be a current
HML student. The parent representative must have a
student currently enrolled in HML, etc.
Selection of EESAC members
Selection
of EESAC members is done by vote of the members of that
particular group. Therefore, teachers elect teachers and
parents elect parents. A vote is done whenever there is
a vacant position or a members term (3 years) is over.
